Jordana Frost, DrPH (c), MPH, CPH, CD(DONA)

Hi! My name is Jordana Frost and I am a DONA-certified Childbirth Doula and Birthing from Within Mentor, with training in lactation counseling. I hold a Master’s in Maternal and Child Health and am currently pursuing a Doctorate in Public Health with a focus on perinatal health services.

After experiencing two radically different births in 2007 and 2008, I became a scholar of birth and women’s health. I started to learn more about issues surrounding variation in practice, evidence-based care, provider training, birth outcomes, and the intricate relationship between body, mind, and spirit during pregnancy, birth, and the early postpartum period.

Since 2013, I have been providing professional, compassionate, and evidence-based childbirth preparation and birth doula care to help ensure a safe, calm, nurturing, and empowering experience for women, partners, and their loved ones. I am humbled and honored to be practicing in this profession and to witness life emerge time and time again.

I am excited to have chosen New England as the corner of the world to raise my children in, after having lived in Bali, Italy, Indiana, California, Mauritania, and Florida. I speak fluent English and Italian, with a spattering of French, Hassaniya Arabic, and Spanish. In my spare time you might find me having fun with my family, baking, exercising, exploring nature, and spending time with friends!

Jordana is an incredibly talented doula!  She is passionate about birth and very knowledgeable about birth options in the Connecticut area.  My husband and I truly enjoyed our pre-natal and post-partum meetings with Jordana.  When the big day came, she provided warm and compassionate labor support and natural pain relief, first at home, and then at the hospital.  Her labor support helped me to have the natural hospital birth that I had hoped for.  I recommend Jordana to anyone looking for amazing labor support!!
